Happy Halloween

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Brandon already had his adorable giraffe costume on yesterday for a special Halloween parade and I think he's eaten enough candy to last him the entire year! He's excited to put on his costume again Sunday evening to collect more candy...I call him my little sugar monster! I'll have some pictures to share next week of him...he makes a really cute giraffe.

I made this Cute Witch Ellie card to celebrate Halloween. I decided to have some fun with it and colored the image with my favorite Twinkling H2O's - I LOVE these sparkly paints! I stamped Ellie with Staz On onto watercolor paper and then colored the entire image with H2O's using my water pen. The sentiment is from the Monster Sign stamp set and then the inside of the card has Ellie's kitty and the sentiment is from the Trick or Treat stamp set.

Here's a shot of the sparkle before I finished the card, I have a hard time capturing sparkle in photos...feel free to click on the photos to enlarge them...

and here is the front of the card...

and the inside of the card...

I hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!

YNS Challenge #28 - Bookmark it!

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for YNS Challenge #28 - YIPPEE! Chris is our super talented hostess for this challenge and she has challenged us to make bookmarks - FUN!

I picked up these huge paper clips at the office store awhile back and I've been wanting to make a bookmark so I was quite excited to finally make one!

I stamped Mini Party Fhiona with Brilliance Black ink onto Copic Xpress It paper and then colored her in with copics. Then I used all different punches for the scallop and circles...I love that I can use a craft punch for the mini Fhiona stamps!

The book I'm reading is Eat, Pray, Love...again! I can't wait to see the movie!

The back is the same dp (Basic Grey Jovial) as the front. I used a large glue dot to attach the front and back layers.

I LOVE the mini stamps so for those of you who are also fans of the mini Fhiona stamps...look for more to be released very soon!!! *grin* I'm so excited!!

Now hop on over to the YNS challenge blog for all the details and enter your bookmark for a chance to win some YNS bucks!!! YAY!

Happy World Card Making Day!

I think it's so COOL that there's a day dedicated to Card Making!!! I've been so busy with getting the new winter releases ready for our Oct 7th blog hop - YIPPEE along with preparing for ScrapFest Oshawa - another YIPPEE that I don't actually have a card for you today but I do have a really simple gift bag that I made for my Mom. We are actually celebrating an early Thanksgiving this weekend and I thought my Mom would like a little gift bag filled with some yummy goodies. I just loved the card Maureen made with this Yummy Pie stamp set so I decided to use her layout and make it into a bag.

I hope you have a happy stamping world card making wonderful day!

October Guest Designer

It's Friday! YAY! It's also October already! Where did September go? It seemed to just fly by!

I'd like to give a warm welcome to our super amazing and talented guest designer - Tori Wild! I instantly fell in love with Tori's creative style and couldn't wait to see what she would create with YNS stamps! Thank so you much for joining us this month Tori!

Here is a wonderful her bio in her own words...

I'm a "work-from-home" mom who left the rush of the corporate world a year ago to start an in-home daycare. I love being home every day for my kids and as an added bonus, it gives me so much more stamping time! I look forward to my afternoon "recess" each day during nap-time. My "Wild" kids are Parker - 7, Kaiden - 5, and Gabrielle - 3 and I can't forget my amazing husband, Jeremy -- we just celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary and are coming up on 20 years as a couple. He puts up with my chaos and supports me in everything! I love to stay busy and challenge my mind, so working with some of the most amazing stamp companies in the industry has been a huge honor and has led to so many amazing friendships. I'm excited to play along with the YNS team this month!

I can totally relate with her and wish my son would nap so I could have 'recess' too!

Check out this super adorable card she made using Cute Witch Ellie...

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello! My name is Kerri Michaud and I’m a stay at home mom to 3 kiddos ages 7, 5, and 2! We currently live in Apopka, Florida which is just outside of Orlando. I got into stamping about 2 years ago after I had my first Stampin’ Up party. I was instantly hooked LOL! Before then I had dabbled in scrapbooking, crocheting, sewing, quilting, jewelry making, and whatever other crafty whims that came my way. I think I have found my true passion in stamping and card making though! I also LOVE to make altered items and little gift boxes, etc. I am soooo excited and honored to be part of the Senior DT for Your Next Stamp! I ADORE these darling images and just love working with Karen and the rest of the DT!

Angel Rivera

Angel Rivera
Designer
My name is Angel and I’ve been stamping for over 8 years! I also scrapbook from time to time, but prefer making cards or other little projects. I try to escape to my craft room as often as my 3 boys (ages 16, 12 and 10) and all of their extra activities allow! My husband of 19 years, Derek, is supportive of my crafty time because he knows it makes me happy. I also work full time with a wealth management company and am a licensed life and health insurance agent. I’m so excited to be working with Karen and ALL of the YNS crew!

Bonnie Kohane

Bonnie Kohane
Designer
I am a second generation SAHM, which i call SAHGM. ("G" for grandma). I have been watching my grandkids for 7 yrs. I am also going through a second generation of crafting, i have a scrapbook that is almost 60yrs old filled with all of my favorite memories. I've been featured in Stamper's Sampler..more of an artsy card magazine...but my style tends to be "cute". Card crafting isn't the only thing i like to do, if i am not working on cards, you'd see me working at my sewing machine, crocheting or trying any new craft technique out there.. i love a challenge..which brings me to say..i can't wait to see what you all create for the YNS challenges!

Brianna Loeffelbein

Brianna Loeffelbein
Designer
Hello my name is Brianna also know as Happy Scrapper in the crafting world. I am 26 years old, I am married to a wonderful supportive husband of four years and we have an amazing two year old son Jayden. We live in a small northen town called Brainerd which is located in the state of Minnesota. For the past 7 years, I have been working for our Local UPS Store as store manager and I just love it. When I am not working I am spending time with my family and friends and of course crafting! I have been passionate about crafting my entire life. My main love of course, is Paper Crafting, specifically card making. I also like to sew, bead and crochet and teach others how to show thier creative sides. I am so honored and privileged to be joining such and awesome group of ladies here at YNS, I can’t wait to get started and share all my creations with you!!

Deborah Anton

Deborah Anton
Designer
My name is Deborah Anton and I am a stay at home mom to 11 year old twin boys and a wife of 12 years to a patient, loving, and awesome Army Officer. I am originally from California but currently live in Tennessee. I keep pretty busy just on the home-front with my active boys playing different sports, moving every few years, and volunteering with the Army. But in the little "me" time I do get, I love to do anything crafty and hide in my craft room!! I started out 11 years ago designing and creating jewelry for 2 large retailers, which led me to having my own business; until 8 years ago when I met designer paper and glue. A new love relation began! I am so excited to be part of the YNS team and work alongside so many talented ladies!

Jen Roach

Jen Roach
Designer
My name is Jennifer and I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband and 3 year old daughter. I'm a scientist by day and a paper crafter by night ---or really just about any free time I have including my lunch breaks at work!!

I started out in paper crafting back in about 2002 when my Mom and I took a scrapbooking class together. A few years later I decided to give card making a try and it's been my passion ever since. I'm the world's slowest scrapbooker so the instant gratification of card making really won me over. Over the years I have used more and more stamping in my designs and I love learning and trying new techniques and styles.

I would probably define myself as a "scrappy stamper". I *LOVE* patterned paper and most of my cards have lots of it with added layered on embellishments and textures. My cards may not be easy to mail but boy are they pretty!!

Other than crafting, I love to play tennis as you can probably tell from my blog address:

Julie Elak

Julie Elak
Designer
Hi, I am Julie Elak, aka "The Last Minute Crafter". My days are kept busy working full time and running after my children. I use almost every free minute to craft, my purse is typically full of copics and a pari of scissors. I began stamping well over 10 years ago, but my love for paper crafting found renewed energy once I discovered the online community in 2009. I started a blog on a whim and am so happy I did. I have made many friendships and found so much support and encouragement on-line.

Laura Nehring

Laura Nehring
Designer
My name is Laura, and I am SO excited and honored to be joining the Your Next Stamp Team! I am a former preschool/kindergarten teacher, now stay at home mom to 3 energetic kiddos - 5 year old twin girls, and a 4 year old boy. I met my husband the year I graduated from highschool, and we've been together ever since. We are enjoying life in sunny southern California, where we were both born and raised.

I started scrapbooking in 2006 when I was pregnant with my girls, which led me to stamping and cardmaking a few years later. The point of no return was when I purchased my first Copic marker at a local scrapbook expo 2 years ago... now I'm hooked! I LOVE to color, and it's how I unwind at the end of a busy day! My card making style is fairly clean and simple... I like for the images to be the focus of my creations, so I don't do a lot of embellishing. In addition to Copics, I am also completely obsessed with Kraft Cardstock, and polka dots! I am really looking forward to being a part the YNS team!

Nicole Nastali

Nicole Nastali
Designer
Hi! I’m a former kindergarten teacher who is now a stay at home mom to my 2 little girls. My hubby is supportive of all my crafty pursuits and that says a lot about him because I love all kinds of crafts from making headbands, bows, & designing dresses to making party favors and now cards!! I am a newcomer on the stamping scene and have met so many wonderful crafting friends already thanks to the common joy of card making and coloring with Copic markers. I would color all day long if my family would let me…!! Lol! My favorite colors are the blue greens (affectionately called the BG’s) and I try to sneak them into every card I make!! I love to get crafty with my girls (ages 8 & 6) and let them color images right along side me. It’s a fun hobby for us all to share!! A sleepover stamp from YNS was one of my very first stamp purchases & I’ve been in love with Fhiona & friends ever since!! I’m thrilled to be joining the YNS Team with this group of fabulously talented ladies & I can’t wait to share my cards with you!!

Ruza Rebel

Ruza Rebel
Designer
I'm a former Administrative Assistant turned stay-at-home mom to a very special young lady. I've been crafting since I was a young child, and when I became a SAHM I turned to crafting to stay busy. Staying busy making cards, altering items, and just having fun with paper is an amazing hobby that I truly fell in love with. I'm very grateful that I have a husband that supports me, that my son loves seeing my creations as well, and my special young lady enjoys getting into my crafts. I truly love the challenge of making something beautiful with the various products available to the crafting industry. That is why I am super excited to share my projects featuring the amazing YNS Digital Stamps, and I look forward to seeing your creations as well!

Sheila Veitch

Sheila Veitch
Designer
I was borne and grew up in a small town Canada. I started paper crafting in the fall of 2007, when I saw a stamping catalogue one of my friends had laying around her home. I took one look through the catalogue and was so excited because I knew I had found my favorite hobby at last! Making Cards. I’m a natural born artist, I completed a graphic arts program in college and worked as an artist for several years a life time ago. I currently work as an office administrator in Toronto where I live with my dog Georgie. Though I absolutely love my job, this hobby is my creative outlet. I believe, the cards I make are like little works of art, expressed from the heart. I find that when I’m making a card for a specific person, I am thinking about that person through the whole process. And that in itself can be the gift.

Hello there! I’m Thanh (pronounced “tan”). I live in the Metro Vancouver area of Canada in a suburban apartment. I'm so excited to be joining the YNS Design Team! I was the July 2012 Guest Designer and have fallen hard for the the images since. I work full-time during the day and can be found in my little craftin' haven at night either sipping a cup of tea or a yummy martini! I'm a Design member for other fabulous companies as well, if you would like to learn more about me, please visit my blog. Take care and I look forward to creating with you!

Hey Wendy McGaffey here with a lil about me.....I have been happily married for 27 years... I have 3 grown children and 3 furbabies and I love crafting...☺...I usually have several projects on the go from crocheting a stuffed teddy bear to sewing a memory quilt, but honestly I have to say that paper crafting and making cards is number one on my list...I started out scrapbooking but fell in LOVE with stamps and then became slightly addicted to coloring with Copics .....I am having a ton of fun on the YNS team and absolutely love creating with their products.
