It's the end of August and it's time to say farwell or rather see you around blog land to some of my DT members. This year has been so much fun and I've enjoyed getting to know these fabulous gals and can't thank them enough for all their amazing YNS creations and dedication to YNS! Big hugs to Cabio, Maylee, Angela and Amy...thank you for everything! You all will be missed although I know we will still be in touch through this wonderful world of stamping and blogging!

Here are some of my favorite projects from Cabio, Maylee, Angela and Amy...it was hard picking just a few as I loved them all!!!

Back To School Gift

I really wanted to give my wonderful little niece Catherine a back to school gift so I decided to make a fun little card with a pocket!

I used some of the accessories from the Teacher Fhiona set along with some paper from the super cool Basic Grey Basic White paper pad, the Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper pad and the Grade School paper pad. I got out my handy little sewing machine to adhere the pocket...the first thing I thought of after sewing the pocket on was...Oh, Maylee and Kerri will be so proud of me! Look at my almost straight lines! LOL I then stuffed the pocket with the Girlfriends stamp set so Catherine can make cards for all her new little friends! FUN I just know she is going to love this!

I also added some fun buttons so that when you remove the stamp set the card still looks cool!

Shhh...don't tell her that it's in the mail as I want it to be a surprise!

YNS Challenge #23 - Bright Summer Colors

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for YNS Challenge #23! YIPPEE! The lovely and very talented Kerri is our hostess and she has asked us to use bright summer colors on our cards and/or creations!

Before you even look at my card you need to know that I had a dream that I stamped the Big Tall Grass with multi colors so I thought why not have some fun with this challenge and just go for it! LOL and yes, I eat, live, and sleep YNS and I love every moment of it! :o)

I got out all my bright inks, the Big Tall Grass stamp set and the Mixed Greetings set and this is what happened...

I had a moment after making this card...I said to myself...hmmm can I really post this? The little purple buggy didn't even make it onto the stem of grass, he seems to be jumping for joy??? and these are some crazy colors for grass...in the end the more I thought about and the more I looked at it I thought this is actually kind of fun and who cares if it's not perfect! That is the great thing about stamping, the bug doesn't have to be in the perfect place so I put my 'perfection hat' aside and decided that YES I can post this bright and fun summery card :o))) I hope you like it!

Our new Design Team Members!!! YIPPEE!!!

Ok so before I reveal the names of our fabulous new DT members I'd like to thank everyone for applying. I know I've said this before but I really do appreciate all of your support and your love for YNS stamps! I find picking new DT members one of the toughest part of running a stamp company because you are all so very talented and I wish I could just scoop you all up but reality sets in and I know I can only have a handful join me. If you did not make the team this round please know that I would love for you to apply again for my next term so look for that announcement sometime in January. It's time for another YNS Challenge! YIPPEE! I'm your hostess for challenge #22 and since tomorrow is our 1st birthday hop celebration I decided that our theme should be BIRTHDAYS!

I decided to ink up Hula Hoop Fhiona for this special occasion! I love her...she just makes me smile! I used some of her fun accessory stamps to create the dp and had so much fun colouring the images in using one of my new fav finds...twinkling H2O's! I've been trying to get my hands on some these shimmery paints for the longest time and let me tell you...it was worth the wait! I love them!!! No, I'm not affiliated with them nor did anyone send me some so I could brag about them...I just saw them in an Australian craft magazine and knew I had to get my hands on some!

The sentiment is actually from the Dale Design stamp set Make a Wish and I thought it was quite fitting for this card. Plus, I have to give a shout out to Simonne because she gave me the idea to bling up Fhiona's hula hoop, clink this link to check out her awesome sparkly hoop creation in the YNS gallery! Thanks hun!
