Happy Anniversary

Yep, that's right 3 years ago Chris and I got married! Happy Anniversary babe! He is a wonderful husband and loving father and I'm lucky to call him my hubby! He planned something really special for our anniversary...a hot air balloon ride! Oh, how exciting!

I made him a simple card using the Mini Greetings set to create my background and then the sentiment is from the Wedding Fhiona set which is retiring and on sale so be sure to scoop it up while it's still available!

Plus if you haven't noticed I'm excited to let you know that all YNS stamps (except retired sets) are now on cling, trimmed and all ready to be used with any acrylic block.

YNS Challenge #19 - Patterned Ribbon

....

It's time for another YNS Challenge! YIPPEE! Amy is our hostess with the mostest and she has challenged us to use patterned ribbon on our cards! FUN!

I have love to collect ribbon so I went through my stash and picked out a patterned ribbon and then picked out a stamp I thought would go nice with the ribbon. I chose to go with a vintage look and used the new Dale Designs stamp Best Friends which I totally adore! You may be wondering how the little boy got plaid shorts...well I very carefully drew them on with my Copic 0.1 Multiliner pen. I've also started using the Neenah Solar White cardstock when coloring with Copics and I really loving the way they blend on this paper. I had a lot fun creating this card and I must say I am very pleased with the end result.

Happy Dad's Day

Just a quickie post to say Happy Dad's Day to all the wonderful fathers out there! Here is the card I made for Brandon to give to his daddy today!

Chris LOVES nature and everything to do with leaves and trees so I thought the Branch Tree was perfect for his card. He also has been going on and on about how much he loves the Sparkle Tree House Leaves dp so I used it for the background which I thought really went well with this image. I also completed the inside using the Happy Father's Day sentiment from the Mixed Bag of Greetings set and the Corner Leaf Border to carry on the nature theme. If you are wondering how I stamped the tree...I stamped the entire top portion of the tree with Brilliance Thyme ink and then used my blender pen and went over the branches with Brilliance Coffee Bean ink. The trunk is stamped with the Coffee Bean as well.

On a side note...yes the dp and the ink have sparkle in them! My hubby is wonderful and accepts the fact that I love to add sparkle to my creations even when they are for him!!! lol

This week just...

lew by!!! Where did the week go? Have you ever had that happen to you? I can't believe it's Friday already! Although you will be happy to know that I've been very busy working on lots of fun new releases - YIPPEE!!!

If you haven't noticed the Retired Stamp Set section over at the YNS store be sure to check it out. All the sets in that section are limited edition sets and I have a very few remaining of each set plus they are all on sale! Once they are gone you'll no longer be able to purchase the images as a complete set so be sure to grab your favorites sets while they're still available.

It's my sweet little nieces 2nd birthday this weekend and she is such a little princess so I got her an adorable little pink princess dress and made her a cute little card using the princess cake from the Birthday Princess Set along with lots of sparkle and bling!

Every month I stamp with a super fun loving group of women and last week we made these adorable tent cards! Thanks Sheryl for introducing me to this fun and easy style of card. I used Shopper Fhiona Single for the larger card and then decided to make a mini card using Mini Bubbly Fun Fhiona. The greetings are from the Mini Greetings stamp set which is great for so many different occasions and many of you know that I am totally addicted to this set!!!

The secret hop blogger and the random number was picked by my loving hubby, Chris. He needed to feel like he was helping me with something because he has been laying on the couch for a week now! No he's not lazy, he just has some minor surgery and he needs rest to get all better and back to his normal helpful self and trust me I can't wait until he his back on his feet again! :o)

June New Release Day 1 - Fhiona Singles

Happy New Release Day 1!!!!

Quite often I get asked these 2 very popular questions...

1. Will you ever release Fhiona as an individual stamp?
2. Can I order YNS stamps with cling mount already attached?

Well I am very excited to say YES to both of those questions today! YIPPEE!!!!

Today I'm releasing 10 single Fhiona's! You'll also notice that I'm retiring the sets that these Fhiona's belong to and the quantities are limited so be sure to grab the sets that are on your wish list before they are gone!

I'm also very excited about the new cling add on option! This allows you to choose to either have your stamps shipped to you unmounted (bare rubber) or you can now have them arrive at your door mounted onto cling foam, all trimmed and ready to slap onto an acrylic block for all your stamping fun!
