The designer paper is DB High Tide and I've used some shimmer cardstock along with the some of the aqua paper from the Prism Teal Paper Pack. I colored the mermaid, turtle and starfish with Copics and then finished the card off with some diamond stickles and pearls. I just love how it turned out!

Just for fun I made my card into a Thank You card so that it goes along with YNS Challenge #4 - giving thanks! You too can combine your challenges and join in the fun over at the YNS Challenge blog!

Your Next Stamp Challenge #4

YAY!!! It's time for another Your Next Stamp Challenge!!! This weeks hostess is Stephanie and she as challenged us all to make a card to give to someone we are thankful for!

I am so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life! I decided to make a card for Brandon's Grandparents for all the wonderful things they do for us. I've used the Monkey Gone Bananas stamp which was designed with Brandon in mind since he is our little monkey! The little flower stamp is from the Wild About You stamp set - which I totally adore! The Thanks! sentiment is from the Thanks! stamp set. I colored everything in with Copics and finished it off with the pearls that I'm totally loving right now! I used the sketch from Jen's Sketch For You To Try - I love this layout! Thanks Jen for all the inspiration. YNS Challenge #3 Plus New Digi's!

What an exciting day!

Today is YNS Challenge #3 - Christmas with a twist by Simonne! You are not allowed to use any red or green on your Christmas card or creation - how fun!

Also I've decided to launch some really fun and cute Christmas digital stamps! Everyone loved the Halloween limited edition digi's by Fhiona so she was kind enough to create some Christmas limited edition Digital Stamps for us which will be available until Dec 31st 2009 - thanks Fhiona!!!! I've used the digital stamp Decorated Christmas Tree for my challenge card today along with MME Colorful Christmas designer paper and some of my favorite pearls by Prima Marketing.

November Stamp Winner

I hope you all had a Happy Halloween! Even though I am fighting a flu bug my son managed to make me laugh on Halloween with all his quirky little gestures. At first he wanted nothing to do with his monkey costume and then later on in the day he brought it to me and wanted me to help him put it on - that was so cute! Then as the door bell started ringing he realized all the other kids were dressed up and he wanted to hand out the candy so him and daddy handed out candy and then went to visit a few friends in the neighbourhood. The best part was on Sunday night when it got dark he wanted to put his costume on again and then he ran to the door waiting for all the kids and when no one came trick or treating he decided it was time to play with all the left over candy we had - what great fun it is to transfer candy from a bowl to a bag over and over again! The simple things in life are always the best things!
